O.k. I was sooooo adventurous and...bought a pack of keifer starter. LOL But that was the extent of my adventure. It's still just a keifer starter packet, I never did anything with it. I'm intimidated. It sounds like something I will foul up. I've never made my own Yogurt before either. I'm afraid it'll not turn out, and I won't know it, and I'll eat some kind of ruind curdled dairy thing. Eeeeeewwwwwww So What's next? How will I make my Keifer? Is it really Good? Will I add things like fruit to it? Is it good plain? What will I store it in? How long will it Keep? How will we eat and use it? How many of you like to keep it made? And is yogurt practically the same thing? Which one is more worth it? ;D ;D ;D

You know, These codes for the little animated faces are so funny. I didn't select those little throwing up on each other icons.....I just typed EEw...and when I posted it came out that way. How weird. But I left them because they seemed appropriate. LOL

There are more cultures in kefir. Don't worry about messing it up. I don't think you can. Don't add fruit , sugar or flavorings until you're ready to eat it because the sugar will eat the good bacteria.
My favorite way to eat kefir or yogurt is by making parfaits. I make my granola, add some fresh fruit and a good amount of yogurt or kefir. To me, it's like a big bowl of ice cream! roflol
