I am a lunatic. HAHAHAHHAA No, seriously........I am nutty as a fruit cake.
What is my body lacking that week? Iron? Calicum? Jack Daniels? No, seriously....what ever it is that I am short on, makes me wacky.
I don't know what to look for in the library that would explain to me what changes the week before my period, so that I would know what to eat / drink / not eat or drink that week, to keep me balanced!!
Thanks for your help!!
Laura (PS: It's only the 3-6 days leading up to my period. The day of, and every other day I am fine!)

Laura, What are the symptoms besides being nutty? I'm not sure what category that falls under. ;D

Tina, Doesn't *nutty* fall under the category of WOMAN! Heehee!!! ;D
Laura, I've been using progesterone cream this month and day by day it's making a difference. I feel more evened out...not like I'm on the verge of ripping off heads. I am also usually extremely unfocused the last week before my period and I've been able to accomplish tasks without being overly sidetracked.

How about volatile? HAHAHAHAHA
Seriously, things that I let 'roll off my back' the other 27 days of the month, send me over the edge.
Really that is the only 'symptom'.
I didn't know if there was something that I should be eating or drinking to replenish something that is missing??
Also.....what would I look up / under at the library that explains to me what my body is doing 5 days before my cycle??
Thanks Laura

I did several searches for PMS last month because my Obgyn wanted to put me on antidepressents for days 14-28 every month. I'm not too keen on that idea for a whole host of reasons, so I bulked up on reading online materials. There is actually something more severe then PMS, it's newly diagnosed...forgive me, I can't remember the term for it. If you search *severe PMS* you'll find articles for it. After studying up on it, I think I fall more in that category then just regular PMS. Eliminating caffeine and sugar, staying steady with water and eating healthy all help...but my mood swings do go beyond that. I lose concentration and I can be pretty evil to tell you the truth. I'm on day 24 today and it was a rough day, I was to the point of tears more then once and generally felt overloaded...in all honesty, I am overloaded and stretched thinner then the average person....but for 3 weeks out of the month I can handle my life pretty well with the Grace of God.
I hope that has a helped a little bit...I need to head to bed...

Yes, nutty does fall under woman, but I put it in the NORMAL category ;D
I second the progesterone cream suggestion. It works great for me and I get very positive reviews from other ladies that are using it too.

I also wanted to add. Look up estrogen dominance.
