Hi -- Just wondering why apple cider vinegar is alkaline and distilled vinegar is acidic. Also, why are lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, etc. listed on the alkaline list? Seems to me they'd be acidic! I'm just trying to figure some stuff out. I know my body is too acidic because I've done the strip testing before. I really do need to eat better. Thank you!

It does seem that those things would be acidic doesn't it? It is actually the ash that is left after the food is digested that counts and once the body is done with citrus and ACV it leaves an alkaline ash.
The distinction between distilled vinegar and ACV is a lot like the difference in raw milk vs homogenized. The raw is alkaline and the homogenized is acid. Man has taken vinegar and milk and changed the chemical makeup by messing with it to try to make it better. They have actually made it an antinutrient, so I guess my answer is that the ACV and raw milk are alkaline because we have basicly left them alone and not made them pretty .
