I peed on a strip of litmus paper this morning and it didn't change color at all. Not a good thing. I'm obviously sick. Got a few questions trying to get a handle on all this: My blood sugars go low without protein. Tina, when you recommed fruit for breakfast, do you mean fruit ONLY? I'm afraid I'd be feeling pretty jittery by lunchtime if that's all I ate. Do the bad cravings ever go away or do I just have to conquer them? I am probably *addicted* to sugar - is that possible? I love soft drinks, candy bars, etc. Is there anything I can do to get over the craving or do I just have to change my mindset? Also, salty foods, especially during my monthly cycle - highly craved. Why is cottage cheese alkaline and regular cheeses acidic? The list you gave us says white pasta is acidic. Does this mean there are other pastas that aren't? If I start eating more fruits/vegetables, taking my vinegar three times a day, and cutting back on the beef and eat chicken instead, will I see the litmus paper start changing colors soon? At least a little bit? If I can somehow get a grip on my Coke with Lime consumption, will it change even sooner? This is so not fun. But I do want to try. Thank you!!

Yes, you are sick. Put a couple scoops of whey protein in your smoothie. See if that holds you. Otherwise have a hard boiled egg as a midmorning snack. Yes, the bad cravings will go away AND treat yourself sometimes! I'm not sure why on the cottage cheese. See if you can find pasta made with Jerusalem artichoke flour. That is the best pasta you can eat. It puts all kinds of good bacteria in your colon. Just do a search online on it and you will find tons of info on it's benefits yes, you will see a difference soon, but don't go too drastic all at once and make yourself sick. Begin slow. Baby steps.

so do you eat fruit only? that would make me sicker than a dog. sorry..but ive learned fruit only and i can count on messed up blood sugars.
i need smoothie recipes that dont take dairy lol. okay i know..soy milk, but cant have it either. im just a walking allergy!
yep the cravings do get better. the first week is hard. i know ive cut myself off sugars several times, the withdrawals are bad, but once past them, im alright.

Try doing the smoothie with no dairy and more fruit juice. Then you will have the sugar issue. Let me think on it . I'm going to see if I can find a smoothie recipe for diabetics.
