Can someone tell me what kind of animal manure I should use?? I have a horse farm down the street from me.....that would be very convenient!! Can you tell me 'why' would I use manure? My gf's mom swears by it for her flowers, but I am growing food here, and mixing poo poo into the soil my food is coming out of well, I am a little grossed out?? Thanks for the help!! Laura

I never used manure. My husband fishes and I buried dead fish carcasses all over my garden. The plants love it. Know any fisherman??

I have a pretty good sized garden ((26 X 26)) and would need a lot of dead fish!!
Being 'land locked' what would be a good sub. for fish?

You can buy fish emulsion which stinks, but works. You can also mulch. I am not sure how. This is where you take all organic material (peels, scraps-no meat-it attracts animals-)You then mix it with dry stuff. Any one else know anymore about that? Jennifer

I have composed also, but need to check the compose on PH balance. make sure you turn the compose periodically. you can go to any fish market and ask for their scraps. Monica
