If I wanted to can apples and make applesauce and can it, how would I go about doing that 'organically"?
Apples are heavily sprayed with toxic chemicals and I really don't see much difference between picking them myself, and buying them from the local mega mart?
How does one go about putting away apples that are not jacked full of chemicals??
Thanks Laura

Can you try finding an orchard in your area that is not sprayed with pesticides? The apples you pick yourself are fresher and have not been put into cold storage and will therefore be more nutrient dense. Definitely use sucanat or sucanat with honey instead of white sugar!
