Tina, do you know much about this? I'm wondering if you've run into links between bedwetting and allergies, being out of adjustment in the spine, heridity, small bladders, etc, in your studies?

Sorry, that I didn't see this. Thanks for bumping it. How old is the person bedwetting? There are some herbs that help to strengthen the urinary sphincter, but I'd have to look them up.

I have a 9yo who wets the bed. He was SOAKING 2 pullups a night!! I started him on Horsetail and Cornsilk capsules, 2 of each 3 times a day. We have noticed a significant improvement! He still wets but it's one pullup and he's not soaked. The lady at the herb store said that I will be able to cut back the dosage eventually. I do also notice a difference in if he gets it 3x/day or twice or once...if I forget

Have you considered a bedwetting alarm? Our 6 year old was wetting several times a night. We tried all the usual things, charts, limiting fluids after dinner and waking him up during the night but it did not help. I read about the alarm and thought it was worth a try. Parents on Amazon.com were raving about it. www.amazon.com/Malem-Ultimate-Bedwetting-Alarm-Selectable/dp/B00070QH6Y/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3/104-0922108-5068733?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1174522750&sr=8-3 If that link won't work you can try this one: tinyurl.com/22z5gp. We told him about the alarm and he was very interested. It was $100 so we told him we had to save up. He asked often if we had enough for "his" alarm. After a month we got it and he is doing great. It trains the brain to wake up before the bladder releases. He immediately went down to two wettings a night, then getting damp once a night. Then he would have a dry night here and there, and he has just had two dry nights in a row. He actually got up and used the bathroom without the alarm ringing at all ;D He has been using it for a little over a month. We had to wake him when the alarm went off in the begining, but now he gets up and rushes to the bathroom. Definitely invest in one that rings and vibrates. The vibration wakes him up more than the alarm. After 2 weeks dry they say you can go without the alarm. Nancy

One of my children also had a bedwetting problem that we solved with an alarm. The one we used was very inexpensive and simple to use. It was called SleepDry Alarm and was made by StarChild Labs. After many years of bedwetting , after only a short time, this tool resulted in dry nights. She was about 10 when we used this and did have some physical issues adding to the bladder/urinary problems but it still helped. She is in her late teens now so I don't know if they still make it, but we still have it and I would be happy to send it if you would like to try it.

Is the alarm very loud? I'm asking because he shares a room with 4 brothers. Would it wake them up too?

Is the alarm very loud? I'm asking because he shares a room with 4 brothers. Would it wake them up too? The Malen Ultimate is louder than a cell phone on high but not as loud as a smoke alarm. The vibration woke him up more. He shared a room but we had him sleep on the couch with one of us so we could get him to the bathroom easily and not disturb his sisters. They never noticed after the first couple of nights. BTW he has had no accidents since I posted originally and is up to 6 dry nights in a row now. I highly recommend it! If you can borrow one, even better!

I would not consider the alarm we have to be very loud, it makes a buzzing noise. It probably depends on whether the other boys are deep sleepers. When my daughter used it, she shared a room with her 2 sisters, one older, one younger, and I don't recall the alarm ever waking the other girls.

Just wanted to let you know that my son has not had an accident in over a month! That alarm worked wonders. He is so happy!
