Not possible!! So here we are....I have one that threw up last week which is SO unheard of. I have one that has had a dry cough for 2 WEEKS!! What is up with that? And NOW my babies and twins are thinking about being sickie!! They all have runny noses that won't QUIT!! We went to the chiro (like we do every Monday) and the runny noses quit for a day. Then they were back with a vengeance by Wednesday. So yesterday we started with the garlic. I try to use it as a last resort because.....well, it does not taste good! ROFL So here we are..... Their motivation!! Fruit smoothies to wash it down with!! Jillian my 2yo had a fever all day yesterday. She LOVES garlic! Right here I am saying "Eat it!" in a very firm voice. And she did!! Good girl!! Junie has tasted better things. When this picture was taken I was saying "Knock it off and eat it!" and I wish I had a pic of just two seconds later of her chewing (not sure why some kids must chew! UGH!) and swallowing without the drama. She was SO PROUD of herself!!

Jacob LOVES garlic. Weirdo!! John is taking half a clove. He said later that some got stuck on his tongue and he wanted a drink to wash it down. He did not tell me till LATER!! Why didn't he just ask for his cup? I am standing right there holding it for him! ROFL Oh well. Next time I know, he is a washer downer. Jenna is also a washer downer. Only she did what most kids do and took the drink and found it difficult to swallow anyway! So now she had fruit smoothie AND garlic floating around in her mouth. She DID get it all down though. OH YEAH!! She is feeling fabulous now!!! Someone mentioned to me that it looked horrible and they woudl nto want to eat it and yada yada. My response? I'd rahter force feed them garlic than have to deal with kids in bed, puking their guts out, runnign high fevers, being lethargic and miserable, runny noses all day, sick for weeks on end. This is a far better alternative!!!

Katie, Have you tried the Masters Tonic? It has garlic, ACV, horseradish, ginger, jalapeno, and hot onion. You only take a dropper full 5 times per day. You mix it up and it makes tons. Then it stores indefinitely. I'll post the recipe if anyone wants it. Awesome kids to take it like that!

Do you mix the dropperful in juice or something? That sounds worse than eating a clove once a day. Do post the recipe!! Sounds like it has tons of good stuff. Although I did read that you should take your garlic within 10 minutes of crushing it due to certain ingredients working best when fresh. And we smell so NICE too!

No, you don't dilute it. It doesn't bother my stomach like the raw garllic. You guys must have stomachs of steel not to mention the wonderful fragrance of your brood! ;D

The Master Tonic - A Natural Antibiotic
by Richard Schulze, University of Natural Healing Based on a tonic by John Christopher
Raw Unfiltered Unbleached Non-distilled Apple Cider Vinegar
1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves
1 part fresh chopped White Onion (or hottest onions)
1 part fresh grated Ginger Root
1 part fresh grated Horseradish Root
1 part fresh chopped Cayenne Peppers or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, or Scotch Bonnets, etc.
Fill a glass jar 3/4 of the way full w/equal parts by volume (i.e. a cupful each) of the above fresh chopped and grated herbs. Then fill jar to the top with raw, unfiltered, unbleached, non-distilled apple cider vinegar. Close and shake vigorously and then top off the vinegar if necessary.
Shake at least once a day for two weeks, then filter the mixture through a clean piece of cotton (old T-shirt, etc.), bottle and label. Make sure that when you make this tonic that you shake it every time you walk by it, a minimum of once per day. Remember that all the herbs and vegetables should be fresh (and organically grown if possible) and use dried herbs only in an emergency.
This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh. It's power should not be underestimated. This formula is a modern day plague tonic and when added to an incurable routine it can cure the most chronic conditions and stubborn diseases. it stimulates maximum blood circulation, while putting the best detoxifying herbs into the blood. This formula is not just for the sniffles, it has helped to turn around the deadliest infections like some of the new mutated killer viruses that defy conventional antibiotics.
The dosage is 1/2 to 1 ounce, two or more times daily (1- 2 Tbs.). Gargle and swallow. (Don't dilute with water.)
For ordinary infections, 1 dropper full taken 5-6 times a day will deal with most conditions. It can be used during pregnancies, is safe for children (use smaller doses and as a food is completely non-toxic. Make up plenty as it does not need refrigeration and lasts indefinitely without any special storage conditions.
Ingredient properties:
-Garlic cloves (anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-parasitical)
-White Onion, or hottest onions available (similar properties to garlic)
-Ginger Root (increases circulation to the extremities)
-Horseradish Root (increases blood flow to the head)
-Cayenne Peppers, or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, -or Scotch Bonnets, etc. (a great blood stimulant).
Pro-biotic: antiviral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitical.

I made the tonic!! We call it the Master STINK Tonic. Wow, it cleared my sinuses when I made it. I had to leave the room periodically to take a deep breath. The finished product isn't so bad though, much more mellow. We have yet to do more than taste it. It cost me just under $20 to get 86 ounces of finished product. I should be worth it Next time I make it I want to try habeneros, but I will NEED to wear gloves and a mask! ;D

Oh, I'm so glad I read this first thing this morning...Ya'll inspired me. My oldest has been complaining of a stomache ache at least once a day for about 3 weeks...ever since she saw her little friend fakey sick her way into actual barfing to get her way...her momma is NOT a ws momma. Well, I've figured that it was faking most of the time and been disciplining for it...but now and then she would seem to get it out of the blue...so I wasn't positive. Well she pulled it again this morning over (of all things) pancakes...so while I didn't have everything in the house to make the tonic...I did have garlic and ACV...so I chopped up a clove REALLY fine and put it in one of those measuring shot glass things...it holds 2 oz of fluid and covered it with ACV. Then I explained that because I couldn't tell if she was really sick or if her mind was making her sick I made a medicine that would fix both. If there was bacteria in her tummy this would get rid of it (she's been talking about bacteria for 2 weeks : or if her mind was making her sick this would teach her mind to NEVER do it again. I made her drink it...she's a sipper so it was EVEN worse...let her chase it with candied ginger (sweet but also helps if there is really a problem) and ice water. She cried about it and acted like she was GONNA DIE for about 10 minutes...during which time she SAT at the table...telling me "I've made a decision that I can't go to softball practice cuz I'm really sick...blah blah blah"...I just kept chopping garlic and ginger and said, "Well that is your decision but if you are still too sick to go to practice then we'll have to give you some more garlic and ACV to make sure we totally get rid of the bacteria" She got kinda quiet and then in a couple minutes she said in a really cheesy grinning voice "Momma, smell my breath ;D"...I looked at her and grinned and said "No way, man, that's nasty"...of course she was FINE and happy...she said, "I burped and I'm all better". YEAH!!! The hardest part was having to send my dh out of the room because he had the giggles so bad. ;D

Ya but the funny thing is if I was giving them Dayquil and they had the same reaction everyone would think that was fine right? Dayquil is enough to make ME upchuck! Btw, everyone feels fabulous today dahling! We had hot tea last night before bed that consisted of Slippery Elm (for those scratchy throats and coughing), Echinacea, and Peppermint (calm those tummies and make them sleepy). Heavy on the Peppermint. Plus honey of course. Everyone raved about how good it was. I am really interested in that tonic. Think I will mix some up. I am also really interested in starting our mornings with fruit as per another thread. So since it is warming up I think we will start our days with fruit smoothies every morning. Just wondering if I can put the fish oil in the smoothie and if I do (we have never used it) how much do I put in a blender full of shake? What about ACV? Can I add that to the smoothie too? I don't want it to be too rank. I have some keifer I am thinking of adding but not sure what flavors will work well together.

Katie, I don't think I would put ACV in the smoothie. I add it to water and it works well there. On the fish oil, it's such a small amount (1 tsp for adults 1/4 for little guys , 1/2 for your bigger ones) just take it on the teaspoon. what flavors of kefir do you have? I have used banana, strawberry and plain and they all do well.

Fish oil (or any oil for that matter) works great in smooties but depending on what you are using...any dairy will curdle with vinegar...soy milk would probably be ok, It wouldn't hurt them but it might make a funny texture.

Quite inspriational Katie!!!
And quite the funny story Stack.....
When we do the garlic thing...we smother it with honey. Not that that makes it so much easier...but it helps just a tiny bit. Your little Jillian is precious. Well, they all are.( or maybe it's just that I want a Jillian... Love that name...God's going to give me twin girls someday and they will be Jillian and Jarah ;D) Your Jillian is about my Jadon's age. And he looks JUST LIKE HER with garlic on his tongue , too.
LOL
Lovely Day Ya'll
