Okay, I'm a believer in chiropractic and my dh is a mostly believer in it...his dilema is the $$$ even with insurance covering part of it. $10 for a co-pay is LESS in his mind than the out of pocket for the chiro and he's not will to get rid of the insurance 'just in case'.
This is probably way to personal of a question but I have to ask... How do you manage to go to the chiro every week with 10 kids?
Don't tell me if you have to kill me after, 'kay? ;D

My chiro gives us a "group rate." He knows we are self employed and have chosen NOT to pay $500/month for decent health insurance. Through dh's new job we coulda gotten health ins for our whole family for $250/month but there was a $1500 deductible and THEN the ins covered 80/20 and a yearly cap. We would NEVER hit that deductible barring a surgery or some emergency. And even then hospitals do amazing things for the uninsured.
In reality we DO qualify for AHCCCS, which is the state subsidized health care. We are all signed up that and the only reason we qualify is because the fosterkids count as dependents! LOL Even though they have their own health ins through the state as well. Weird system. The only time I have used this ins is when I had to have a physical (every three years) for foster care paperwork. My kids have never used it in the two years we have been signed up and Jeff used it once for a visit to get an inhaler (which in retrospect could have been avoided).
Anyways, what my chiro charges is WAY less than any ins plan we have found and we go every week. Plus he is all about keeping us well so there have been times when I have called and said "Jillian is really hot and lethargic, can we come in?" and he says "Of course!!!" Several weeks ago when Jenna had that horrible cough she felt miserable. When he adjusts the kids he always goofs around with them and when he gave Jenna a "I'll get you, just watch out." look she just burst into tears. He said "Ok, she is not feeling well. If she is still feeling bad this afternoon bring her back in." He knew she had a fever as he had just adjusted her. And we did. We took her back in that afternoon and she was feeling much better that evening. I LOVE our chiro! There are houses down the street for sale if you are looking to move to the land of great chiros, beautiful weather, free kids and fabulous neighbors.

You're so funny!!!
And there is one other draw to Arizona, my folks winter in Apache Junction.
Of course the negative would be my dh, who if he had his druthers would move to a mountain top covered in trees surrounded with lotsa land...he just can't find a finance gig that'll pay enough for his liking on those mountain tops.
Still we did get to move to Texas (no mountains here) where there is a bit more land and some trees.
I'd love to live by someone like you...I need the accountability and the inspiration.
