About June of last year, my daughter started having problems with her stomach. Symptoms: If she rode in the car a long time, or ate to late, she would either throw up, or feel like she was going to throw up. This was about a once a month episode. So we took her to the doctor. He thought "gallbladder". So we did an ultrasound of her 'insides'. Her gallbladder, stomach, liver and intestines looked fine. So her ordered another test for her. One where they shoot dye in your veins, then they shoot something into her gallbladder so it will release bile into her empty stomach to see what happens??? Yeah, we skipped that test. That's insane. So we have monitored this for a long time. Here's the conclusion we have come to: *It has nothing to do with her periods. *When she eats "high fats" like biscuits and gravy. One stick of butter, whole milk and sausage. OOOOO Fat bomb. This will make her puke. Pizza. That makes her puke every single time. *Fettuccine Alfredo....again, pukes every time. *She can drink milk and have no problems. *She can eat ice cream, and again, no problems. *She should eat before 8pm. When she eats later, she is uncomfortable. *Last night we had BBQ ribs on the grill (pork baby backs) and she said this morning, her stomach woke her up twice in the night feeling 'bad'. She didn't puke, but her stomach hurt. Any ideas? Any suggestions? Thanks Laura

My daughters are taking a digestive enzyme that helps them digest fat. Tina suggested it and it has been helpful for them. They were getting frequent headaches and nausea. It has helped them. If you are local maybe you could take her in for a consultation with Tina. Nancy

I wish I was local!! I am up in central Indiana. Tina was kind enough years ago, to allow me access to this board. I am very grateful for her advice and input on nutrition and health!
I will research digestive enzymes!
Thanks so much Laura

Tina, Does that fat digestion problem run in families? When I noticed that Laura's daughter was suspected of having Gallbladder problems it made me wonder if I had my gallbladder removed for nothing since my daughters both have a problem with fat digestion, maybe I do too. Even without the gallbladder I still get the "gallstone" pain sometimes.

Yes, it can run in families. Having your gall bladder removed only takes care of the symptom. The problem is still there if you don't do something to find the root and take care of it.
