My dh is wanting to know where the best place to buy a mill as far as pricing and specials go....
Right now I am looking into Nutrimill and the Ktech.
I have looked at: Breadbeckers urban homemaker (she has special if you buy a mill but I do not need those as I already have it) Country Baker
That is all I know of where to buy a mill....
I may be buying one around Christmas time with my Christmas money.
Thanks
Holly

Sorry you haven't gotten a reply until now. I bought the K-tec at : www.nutritionlifestyles.com/ktecmill.htmI really like this mill. I first bought the Nutrimill but it was just too big! I think the Ktec works just as well but it takes up alot less space because the pan inverts over the mill when being stored. It is also cheaper, yeah! Shipping was free too. HTH Chris

Here's the link to the urbanhomemaker's k-tec mill.. in case you want the free cd's, for the same price as that other link.. free shipping too. www.urbanhomemaker.com/customer/product.php?productid=16519Chris, what did you do with your nutrimill? Since you've had both, do you find your flour mills hotter with the k-tec? Funny tho, when I was discussing hot flour with dh earlier today, we wondered about the high heat used to bake it with, lol.

That's a good point. I'll have to look into that.

I exchanged the nutrimill for the ktec. I try to limit the amount of grain I put in at one time to decrease the amt. of grinding time so it doesn't seem to get too hot. What about the heat used to bake? Boy is that a husband kind of observation or what LOL! Good question! Chris

Has anyone ever used the Whisper Mill? I'd love to get a really nice grain grinder some day. I do have a "manual" grinder which we got from Lehman's. Click here to see the model we have. It's a lot of work but well worth it!
