Okay, I am going to sound so clueless.... but here goes. Dh is making noises 'bout buying me the bread mixers that ya'll are all raving about. The one that Tina has...the (DLX?)..that one sounds wonderful. That's the one with the attatchments that do the pasta and grind the meat, and then also will mix up all those loaves for bread at once, right? Is that the same one as the BOSCH that was being discussed over at the shed? I'm getting confused about the brands. And I guess I would need a grain MILL too, right? because my Vita Mix grinds grain just fine, but I don't know if it would enjoy the work of like 6 -8-10 cups of flour grinding at a time. I usually only keep it to two cups at a time. Does anyone else grind this much grain in their Vita Mix? Or did you feel you needed to buy the other mill..I know in the long run I'd want another mil for more volume f grinding grans, but for a bout a year...would my Vita mix bite the dust for grinding so much stuff? Has anyone ground Graots in their Vita mix? Can that be done? So then... for buying mills, which mills are the ones to go for? And an Apporximate total price for these things (mixer and mill) would be around....?? Thanks for any help. I know these things get discussed a thousand times....but you don't really piece it all together until its your turn to lay down money and possibly get to buy one. ;D It's an exciting prospect. I hope it all goes through for me. Blessings Everyone.... -Daisey

Okay, let me see if I can answer all of the questions. The DLX and the Bosch are two different things. I personally think the DLX is a better machine, but I may be predjudiced ;D I plan to post pictures of my kitchen later today and you'll see my DLX. They are $469. The meat grinder and pasta discs (which go in the meat grinder) are extra. I think I paid around $600 to get started. You can make bread with the $459 set up, but not grind meat or make pasta. The flaker attachment is wonderful for rolling your oats. Once you've had fresh rolled oats, you will become an oat snob ;D On the mills, the whisper mill is my fav, but don't buy one even if you can find one on ebay or a company that still carries them. The warranty is void So, go for the Nutrimill. It will have a hand crank attachment to add to it soon that will be awesome for power outages. I think we all know that there will come a time that we may have to do without power. The nutrimill is $239 I would not grind grain in the vitamix simply because it heats the flour too much and destroys the nutrients. You will do better if you put it in the freezer before putting it in the vitamix. That will help. Let me know if you have any more questions. Oh- You have to get the Breadbeckers cookbook! $6

Okay..!! Thanks... So, okay I guess I am going to go look up the DLX....and that is at the www.breadbeckers.com or www.premeirappliances.com ..right??? and as far as the nurtimill...it's at the breadbeckers, too?? Okay, and a 6 dollar cookboook..now, I just don't know if I can quite buy that one. LOL Kidding. I have so much to learn, and grow in and do!!!!! All of you inspire me so much. Thanks for you answers!!!! Oh and I didn't know about my vita mix heating up my wheat to a bad degree. So, wow does the mill not make the flour hot?? That's cool. And what a great tip about freezing the grain first. I'd give ANYTHING for a deep freezer. Well, I say that I'd give anything for alot of things!!!!!LOL Can't wait to see your kitchen pictures. Love, Daisey

one more pic ;D Dh is building me new cabinets out of birds eye maple and this is the first part of them. He even did the corian countertop himself. He and I moved it into the house from the garage and installed it together. I am impatiently waiting for him to begin the next ones.

Yes, it's a champion. A very dear lady just GAVE it to me! I passed my other one to another dear friend I really like it. I am praying for a vitamix so that I can drink the whole veggie though. Then I'll give the champion to someone.
That box to the right of the juicer is what holds all of my measuring cups and attachments. I need another drawer to throw those things in, but since I don't have any extra, dh built me the box!

;D ;D...If I could I'd buy you a Vita mix.....and you could give me your Champion Juicer. I want BOTH actually. Because when I'm doing the veggie or fruity drinks..the Vita Mix is Awesome....But when I'm for instance sick, or , giving birth, or whatever reason....At those times I just want a thin non-pulpy, non-fiber drink. And that's when I wish I could have a Champion...or like when I am juicing carrots for my 9 month old or one year old to drink and it needs to pour from a sippy cup. It needs to be very thin.

Daisey, I'm praying my vita mix in. I have never asked God to GIVE me something like this. I usually just save up until I can do it in MY POWER, but I know that I'm supposed to wait on this one. I can't wait to see what He does.
