I am new to the site, but recognize some names from HB. My name is Lisa. I will celebrate my twentieth wedding anniversary this August to my best pal. We have two boys-ages 16 & 14. I will warn you before we get to know one another-I am a living, breathing representative from allopathic medicine-something I do every day. However, I-like many of my colleagues, friends, family, and cyber friends (like you!)-are learning more and more each day about homeopathic and naturopathic ways to approach health. I look forward to getting to know you, and learning wonderful new things!

Hi Lisa! Welcome to the board! I also have deep roots in allopathy and worked in it for 10 years. I think that there are uses for both and that we can compliment one another. I'm glad you're here!

I forgot to ask what it is you do everyday? I worked as an ARNP and my field was Cardiology.

Lol! I have a friend that is a PA and he works in sports medicine and ortho. We have lots of long conversations ;D They mill their own grain and use some of my tinctures now.... I think that when allopathy and naturopathy quit butting heads, we will see awesome progress in health. There are so many plusses to both sides. I guess I am just a peace maker that wants everyone to get along I have been blessed enough to find some Ped's here that will work with me with ADHD patients. I think that is only because I have an allopathic liscense as well.....

Welcome Lisa! I owe my son's life or at the very least his eyesight to a PA! Long story short, the PA didn't agree with the treatment given my son in the ER by the physician. He called me the next morning to check on Jesse and I detected the concern in his voice. He asked me to please bring Jesse back in right away that he wanted to see him. I did and boy am I glad, his sinus infection turned into an orbital cellulitis during the night and he may have developed meningitis or possibly have lost his sight. I love that man! His, chris
