Ok, I'm freaking out. I never knew this. In wandering through sites related to peri-menopause, etc., I discovered that premarin is made from PRegnant MAre urINe. I don't know if it's just me, but this seems questionable on so many levels. I don't want to start any type of debate....I'm just astonished at this information.

Isn't that gross? It reminds me of the aborted fetal material they use to make vaccines. Just gross.

no debate from me here I was just as astonished as you when I found out, only after my hysterectomy I was put on this med.... Imagine finding out when you are taking the stuff ok......
Needless to say I stopped taking all of it, I suffer with premature aging big time, hot flashes and my skin is starting to look like I'm older than I am.... <sigh>

Judy, There are natural estrogen creams and progesterone creams that will help you. You may want to look into those.

I was placed on this as well.......NEVER knew about what it was made from....YUCK .....just stopped taking it since I felt there had to be a more natural way of dealing with hormone issues.....
found PhytoProlief from Arbonne and I can't say enough about it....I even got the formula for pre menapausal women for my daughter to help with her cycle irregularities and it works on that as well as her PMS levels....
Mine stops hot flashes in their tracks when I do get one... I take one dose of the cream in the morning and one at night.....and if(which doesn't happen too often)I just apply a dose directly to my face....and it stops the hotflash....
