I got these today from http://www.allrecipes.com: Dry Ranch Dressing1 t dried parsley 3/4 t ground black pepper 1 t salt 1/2 t garlic powder 1/4 t onion powder 1/8 t dried thyme To make dressing, mix w/1 c mayo and 1 c buttermilk. Dry Italian Dressing1 T garlic salt 1 T onion powder 1 T white sugar 2 T dried oregano 1 t ground black pepper 1/4 t dried thyme 1 t dried basil 1 T dried parsley 1/4 t celery salt 2T salt Store in a tightly sealed container. To prepare dressing, whisk together 1/4 c white vinegar, 2/3 c canola oil, 2 T water and 2 T dry mix. I'm sure these recipes can be adapted in a more healthy way. Maybe cut down the sugar and salt and use balsamic vinegar instead of white? Can something be substituted for the mayo in the ranch dressing? I will probably use these mostly just for adding to recipes that call for dry mixes (my taco soup recipe, roasts, etc.) rather than using them for salad dressings. Paula
