Hi Laura, Very good choice to start with breakfasts! Have you looked at the recipes at www.breadbeckers.com yet? There are some wonderful ones there. I'm going to see if the waffle recipe is on the site now.

Tina, Will you please re-post your granola bar recipe? Also, what do you think about the Kitchen Aid stand mixer attachement that grinds whole grains? Do you have any experience with it, or have any feedback on it? I am bidding on one on Ebay, right now it's about 1/2 price......let me know!! Thanks laura

Laura -- Here is Tina's GRANOLA recipe that I'm cutting and pasting from her website. It's awesomely delicious! I make it a lot. ---------- Delicious Granola This recipe was originally Breadbeckers that I have modified. You can see the original and read wonderful articles on milling grain at www.breadbeckers.com . 4 cups rolled oats ½ cup butter ½ cup honey 1 T cinnamon ½ cup coconut ½ cup pecans hanful of raisins, sunflower seeds, craisins, any dried fruit you can imagine Melt honey and butter together and pour over all ingredients except for dry fruit. Bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Continue to bake until golden brown and crispy. Allow to cool on cookie sheets. Add your dried fruit and place in and airtight container. ---------- Also, I cut and pasted Shauna's GRANOLA BAR recipe over on HOMEschool Fellowship. Paula

I have a friend that bought one and it broke very quickly. If you won the auction, it won't hurt to try it. Sue Gregg's blender breakfasts is wonderful for using whole grains in cooking when you don't have a mill.

Tina,
I didn't win the auction..it's still up for bid. I was outbid this morning, so before I up'ed the auntie I thought I would see what kind of feedback I had on it!
The whole idea of letting stuff soak all night kinda freaks me out...... I will see if I can find a mill cheap on Ebay, or at a yard sale this spring!!
Thanks again, laura

Soaking used to freak me out as well, but it actually helps a lot with helping the body digest food. It tastes great too!

Thanks for sharing the breadbeckers site! I can't wait to try some of the recipes. I've ordered Serene's dvd and recipe book and got a vitamix. I just can't wait to try it all out!!
