Hey there...
I've been wondering about the blood type diet info...haven't read much but even in the small amount of reading I realized I don't know what my blood type is...or anyone in my family for that matter.
Any idea of an easy way to find out?

I have muscle tested people that should have been allergic to things on the list for their bloodtype and they were fine, so I don't give it much weight. But Paula is an O and it says that she should not use ACV and the ACV doesn't work for her. (shrugging)

But I wonder if maybe I just wasn't using enough? I was probably taking only 1 teaspoon a day at the time. Also, since my recent ph strip told me I'm entirely too acidic, maybe I just need MORE vinegar as well as a drastic diet change to really be able to tell a difference.
I'm going to start taking acv again, but this time more each day, and see what happens.
Also, I can't help but be a little leary of a diet that the people in Biblical times wouldn't have been able to know anything about. There's no way they could have determined blood types. kwim? God didn't distinguish different foods for different blood types. I'm still trying to get a handle on the alkaline/acid thing, too, but it makes a lot more sense to me than the blood type thing.

I just read more about this diet in my Nourishing Traditions book. Sally Fallon pretty much says that it doesn't hold water. I am trying to finish up a class that I'm taking. As soon as I get that done, I'll type out what her opinion is of why it doesn't make sense.

Paula, I have to agree with you about God not distinguishing different foods for different blood types. I'm an O too and I say, let's go for it with more ACV! I ordered a quart of it though our coop, but since I'll be sharing with hubby, I think I'll have to be finding some more before the next order comes in. I am SO looking forward to improving our health.

okay, I got my book out and this is what Sally Fallon says about the blood type diet. She says it is based on evolution and it includes questionable foods like soy and eliminates natural and beneficial foods like coconut oil. She also does not completely agree with the acid/alkaline theory. However she's not so hard on it. She merely says that grain is acid, but needed to help take other acids out of the body. I guess that there is a theory for every theory
