I started taking magnesium for my leg spasms and my side was spasming. I was told to take 8-tablets at bedtime every evening. It has been working, but my concern is taking all this magnesium for a long period of time. Does magnesium build up in your body or is it flushed out of your body every day?? Iam almost finished with this bottle of "calcium magnesium" and i went to the health food store and found a "once daily magnesium" This is 500mg complex with mag Taurate with also magnesium oxide and magnesium citrate and magnesium orotate. Does this sound like a better type of magnesium then what I was taking and is the lower dosage better? Help I'm sooooooooooo confused? sparks

I am not sure about this, but I don't think magnesium builds up in your body. The reason I say this is that if you get too much, it will cause a loose stool or diarrhea. With most supplements, this indicates that it passed through if you have too much.
Again, I am not sure about this.

sorry it took me so long to get to this. I have my book in front of me and am quoting directly from it.
Magnesium is more effective taken with Vit B6 Vit C Vit D Calcium - 1 part Magnesium 2 parts Calcium Phosphorous Protein
here are raw juice sources you can get it from which you know is what I advocate instead of the pills Oranges, lemons, grapefruit, tangerines, limes, plums, spinach, dandelion leaves, mustard greens, lettuce , apples, grapes, savoy cabbage, pomegranates, sugar beet tops, cherries , corn , peaches and pears.
Food sources kelp , almonds, cashews, dulse, raw and cooked green leafy veggies, figs , apples, safflower, and sesame.
