Has anyone taken adrenal supplements? I've heard that stress can cause tired adrenals. ;D
I found an adrenal supplement online that has these ingredients listed:
"Freeze-dried Adrenal Cortex from sheep (soluble fractionation), Echinacea Augustifolia, prunus spp., Lomatium Dissectum Root Isolate (Kreb Concentrate-2%), all in a base of lactose and lactase. NOT FOR LACTOSE INTOLERANT!"
Now, I'm thinking that adrenal cortex from sheep just sounds gross to be putting into my body. But I'm curious to know if any of you have tried it and think it works.
Thanks!

I copied and pasted this description and ingredients from the company that I use. I don't know much about sheep glandulars, but I do know a bit about porcine and bovine glandulars and they work very well on humans. I know we have briefly talked about your adrenals in the past Paula and I really feel that you would benefit from a support .
The product below is $15.95 for 60 which would last you a month. Not too bad if it helps you.
Adrenal Support (60) Don’t Let Stress Drain Your Adrenals
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: Adrenal Support [Glandular, Nervous] is a synergistic blend of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and adaptogenic herbs designed to support the adrenal glands. Adrenal Support is formulated with powdered bovine adrenal gland from New Zealand. The ingredients in Adrenal Support may offer help in supporting and maintaining adrenal gland health. The B vitamins, for example, support many of the biochemical processes in the adrenals. Vitamins B1 and B2 are necessary for helping the body cope with stress. Adrenal Support combines the most bioavailable and biological-terrain-friendly forms of these vital nutrients. Each capsule contains powdered bovine adrenal gland, generous amounts of vitamins B1, B2, B6, pantothenic acid and vitamin C, plus zinc, protease, borage oil powder, licorice root and schizandra fruit.
Take 1 capsule twice daily with food or as directed by your health care practitioner

Thank you so much for the information. Tina, where do you get that product? Dandelion, those websites were very helpful (the one in particular that mentioned I need to be eating more fresh fruits and veggies).

That one is from Nature's Sunshine. You have to be a member to get that price, but I think I can order it and have it shipped to you.

Tina, Would it possible for you to order this for my dh? I'm about 90% sure Nature's Sunshine is GF, can you verify that for me?
Thanks, Ang
