What are some natural ways to get trid of pests in a garden? From the wormy things, to the ants and bugs that eat the plants?

I use two things. One is garlic and hot onion (throw in some hot peppers if you have them. chop them all up and let them soak in a bucket of water overnight. Strain and spray the water on your plants. Spread the garlic and onion mixture in your beds.
The other is grate castille soap and soak in water overnight. Spray on garden.
Both worked well for me

Would Dr. Bronner's (sp?) Liquid castille soap be just as good as grating a bar soap? I am on the beginning learning end here with the soap things. Is that liquid castile stuff organic and pure like soap we would make at home? Thanks for the other tips too. I'm assuming that aside from SMELL.... ......the garlic sprays would be good on house plants , too. I LOVE LOVE gardening. My grandmother (5 mintues from me) gets to garden alot, but I only have pots right now. (city duplex living ) --Daisey
