I've been having a good time with soapmaking! (So what else is new? ;D) The "soap menu" is now up to nearly 50 different varieties of soaps. If anyone is interested in an updated list, please send me a PM and I'll send it off to you via email, or PM. Here is a quick look at a few new soaps. From left to right, bottom row: Clean, Blue Jean Baby, Botanical Hemp, Coconut Lime Verbena, Berry Patch. Top row: Lake Superior Beach, Maple Syrup, Prairie, Wild Rose.

Oh Katie! These are so pretty! Looks like your work is also your play! I do believe we will have to do another order after this current one, so we can check out your new fall fragrances too! Next thing you'll have to sell, is some sort of mega multi shower bar soap holder, so we can have many scents to pick from each time we shower. roflol

Next thing you'll have to sell, is some sort of mega multi shower bar soap holder, so we can have many scents to pick from each time we shower. I need one of those!!! You should see the bars I have piled up in the shower...and by the bathroom sinks....and by the kitchen sink. I think mine will have to be like one of those huge CD racks, but sized for soap. I'd love it! I'm such a geek, I'll use 3 or 4 different bars when I shower because I can't decide which one to use.

I love it! A stacking soap dish! ok, I want mine to be the sturdy metal wire kind.. nice and shiny. hmmm... I think maybe 4 or 5 high? whacha think Katie? It would need to be used either as a hanging rack or as a free standing one. Now wouldn't that be so cool?!?
That's too funny how you use/have so many bars all around. And here I thought you might think I was being extreme in my request. roflol

Awesome new soaps, Katie! I think I like the Prairie and Wild Rose best. ;D And while I'm here...the Bug Dope stuff you sent me has been working BEAUTIFULLY!! I like the spray best and I've been using the soap every morning. The stick is not as convenient for me because I wear shorts or capris and short-sleeved or sleeveless tops, so there's too much area to cover with the stick!! But mosquitos LOVE me and I have been so miserable when going outside. I'll say it again - your spray is AWESOME!!!! I truly love it! The mosquitos buzz around and then just leave to go find someone who's not been blessed with your good stuff. Thank you also for the lavender oil. It has helped when I didn't spray myself well enough and they found a small spot unsprayed. Did I say thank you?? ;D

Paula, you really know how to lavish a person with praise! I need a blushing emoticon. I am so happy the bug dope stuff is working well for you.
Here's another little tidbit if you get nibbled by mosquitos. Just rub a little bit of soap on the bug bite. (Slightly damp soap.) It doesn't matter what kind - it will take the itch away almost instantly.

Samantha, I just send you a pm with the latest "soap menu". It makes me so happy that the bug dope stick works well for you! As far as longest lasting/strongest fragrances....the mints and spicy blends seem to have the most "staying power". I actually try not to "overscent" the soaps for a couple of reasons. First, it seems a lot of people (myself included) are sensitive to heavy fragrance. I try to hit on just enough, without being overwhelming. Second, many of my regular customers also wear cologne or perfume and with a lighter hand, the soap fragrance doesn't interefere. It smells good when you're using it, but won't linger all day. I suppose it's rather subjective, but if you had a particular fragrance in mind, I could try to assign it a "sniffy" rating. ;D

Katie, Ever since I saw your new "flavors" and read the names, I have had Tiny Dancer by Elton John stuck in my head! I love that song, especially since it was playing on the radio in the operating room when ds2 was born! I will definitely be ordering that one from you in the next batch! Cherise
BTW.. still having clear complexion with my lavender.. just a few meanies on the jaw line, but that always happens with AF.

Hi Cherise,
It always thrills me when someone is happy with my soap! I'm so glad it's working out well for you.
You hit the nail on the head with Tiny Dancer. We were trying to figure out a name for the soap - it reminded us of blue jeans or denim. We were tossing around different words and combinations. "Blue Jean Baby" was the one we kept coming back to. I knew it was familiar, but it didn't occur to me until later that day when I had the song running through my head WHY it was familiar. ;D
