I am new and glad to find this group!

I've just joined this group . I live in NPR and we are Christians . Right now we go to a baptist church in Rowan Rd . I am from Romania and my husband is from NY . I used to be a RN in Romania and France but since I've moved to US , I never got my license but I am a nurse for my kids which is very fulfilling! I am a SAHM of 3 children 4 , 3 , and 2 yr old .

My 3 yr old son has some problems . I feel he has a very mild ASD ( Autism Spectrum Disorder ) . He was evaluated by a specialist but he seems to disagree with me . Also his pre-K teachers disagree but as a mom and a RN , I know there are some things that are not right in my son's behaviors . He is so mild that it is hard to know he has something like this , unless you really know about the matter. His IQ is normal and some of his cognitive skills are above average , but his social skills are very delayed . Anyway we will get the final dg next month. Blood test showed allergies to eggs, milk, beef and wheat .I think all his mild autistic tendencies comes from these allergies . He also had many ear infections and that's why I requested an allergy test . He is on gluten free/casein free now but occasionally he gets some gluten from bread,pasta, etc. It is very hard to keep him on this diet not to mention very expensive . He loves milk and cheese . I was wondering if any of you know how I can help him , what supplements or diet would work . I read soy milk is not safe for many reasons , the rice and almond milk does not have enough protein and this is how I found out about this raw milk. Do you know if the raw milk would not cause him allergy ?
Also , I would like to know if it is better to homeschool him ? Anybody has experience with homeschooling kids with ASD or ADHD and how does it work?

Welcome to this board. I can't help you with any great advice from experience, but I from what I've read and as I believe God gave us good food including milk (raw) I would encourage you to research it and try it to see.

I know of a family with milk allergies and they tried some of our raw goats milk, and found it did still affect them. However, others have found raw milk is good -actually, helps. The case I mention the milk wasn't perfectly organic/chemical free, so I wonder if it could actually be that bothering them as much or more than the milk itself. I think there are several types/reasons for allergies, aren't there, so maybe that is an issue too. (This family it was pretty much the whole family affected, and the concept was that they would be able to take it once they were older.)

You probably know alot more about this than me, but I'd like to study the issue more, as I'm not satisfied that is understood fully. Some health practitioners/mother's of sick children/authors have said things like vitamins/mineral deficiencies really being the cause for it all, is it the proteins or really the sugars? or chemicals or toxins, but it could be somewhat inherited that we can't really treat. Either way, I don't blame the food, but a fast/rest from it certainly could be beneficial.

How about yoghurt? I understand the bacteria means it's like predigested so much easier to handle, and provides a good colony of lactic acid bacteria which is healthy for the gut (that could come from other fermented foods, too.)
