I really miss this board. Does anyone still visit at all? I have learned and gleaned so much from everyone here in the past. I have a question about a deodorant that Tina mentioned once and I can't find a post about it anywhere here. Tina, if you're still here, could you give me some information about a Thai deodorant stone you mentioned once? We are trying to find a good aluminum-free deodorant that actually works. (This question is open to any and all who may have a recommendation for me!) Thank you! Paula

Paula and Laura, I am in the process of reviving the board . I have found that Alvera brand deodorant is a wonderful aluminum free choice that works well.
I hope to see you guys here!

I have been using Adidas Aluminum Free Absorbent-Deo for Women. Probably has lots of bad stuff since it is on regular store shelves, but it works better for me. Forgive typos: Propylene Glycol, Water, Sodium steatate, fragrance Palmitic Acid, cyamposis tetragonoloba (Guar) gum, stearic acid, sorbitan sequaoleate, triclosn, sucrose stearate, xanthan gum, allation, sodium acid, gossypum herbaceum (cotton) powder, silica dimethyl silylate, erthyhexylglycerin, acacia senegal gum, ext. D&C violet no 2

Nancy, Was one of those ingredients allantoin? That would be comfrey which is what will stop sweating. I will look up the other ingredients as I find time.

Yes it was allantoin. Sorry for the typos. It was small print! So is it bad to stop sweat, even with something natural? <dreading the answer> Nancy

No, it's fine to use comfrey. I haven't looked the others up yet.

I would think that it would wise if we are stopping sweating to make sure the other eliminative organs are working well, as they would have to take an extra load. Yeah, I've been taught to think in the lines of not stopping a natural thing like that as it must have a good reason/purpose. Should we sweat much anyways? Could it suggest that the other organs are overloaded? But that wouldn't be it's only purpose. It is somewhat used to cool the body, too.

Sweating is healthy as the skin is an eliminative organ, however smelly sweat would concern me.
