Never Fail Cookies from Reuvenate Your Life by Serene Allison (this Recipe book can be purchased thru www.aboverubies.org website) These delicious cookies are so-called because there is no possible way for them to fail or taste bad. This recipe is a base from which you can jazz up a little or completely rearrange and transform into something new. 2 cups soaked oat groats (whole raw groats soaked overnight) ¾ cup pure maple syrup A handful of favorite chopped nuts A handful or two of favorite diced dried fruit ½ tsp. pure vanilla extract Optional – add a handful of fresh fruit (this bulks it up and adds a chewy, hearty texture as it dries – suggestions are grated apple, diced banana, blueberries or cherries) 1. Blend in food processor the soaked oat and maple syrup until smooth. 2. Place in mixing bowl and add all the rest of the yummies. 3. With lightly olive oil greased hands, grab a little and dab the bottom in a plate with either fine dried coconut of ground nut or seed flour as this will keep the bottom from sticking to the mesh dehydrator screens. 4. Carefully place the little mound on a mesh screen and lightly flatten with a fork. 5. Dehydrate until desired chewyness.

I thought I'd let you know how I made the ones that Tina and Susan tasted and liked. for the nuts I used chopped almonds the dried fruit was raisins and cranberries in addition to the vanilla, I added a splash of almond extract I used a grated apple, and a diced banana.
I did not dab the cookies in anything. Instead I placed them on teflex sheets (non-stick dehydrator sheets) by the teaspoon, then flattened them with the back of a fork. Very simple.
