A few of us have decided to take the 30 day raw food challenge which means that nothing cooked will cross our lips for 30 days. Would anyone else like to join in and journal progress on this board?

I'm scared of this challenge! Partly cuz' I do not have any raw cookbooks and I have 5 little ones to feed as well. I really would love to do this - plus I can't even pronounce half of the ingredients that have been listed in some of these recipies...aaahhh Are you following a menu? Where do you buy all this stuff? What type of dehydrator do you have?

I am going to join you if it is not too late. Do you have any tips for getting started?

I think we are going to re start this in September. For those of you playing with it right now, I would suggest having a plan for when you are hungry and just need to eat something now! Keep cut veggies and fruit handy.
Do you guys have recipes to get started?

well I guess I am going to have to restart this in September .I was doing pretty good but I just love to eat and try new things .
I think I need to make alot of things all at once [things that will keep] then I will hopefully be able to keep up with it.
Are you guys going to do the 30 day meal planner like it was discuss in one of the raw food classes ?

Is there a raw class scheduled in the near future? I know someone that just got a negative report from an oncologist and is interested in learning.

I have completed a 30 day challenge as of last Wednesday and am feeling great! I am continuing on...... Tina and I are preparing a cookbook right now and also have some great ideas up our sleeves regarding a local challenge. We also have a huge opportunity to share raw and living foods in mid-September. That being said, keep your eyes open for a menu planner, shopping lists, recipes, and support to become available soon after our mid-September trip. In the meantime, the Raw Foods Potluck wil continue to occur monthly. Watch the news fader for date, time, and location. If you have any questions or concern about raw food, post them here. Questions asked to a group have the opportunity of educating many as well as the benefit of diverse experience for answers. I also wanted to share that as a side benefit to this challenge, I have lost 24 pounds and 2 dress sizes. While my ultimate goal is always good health, I have to admit I am enjoying the weight loss. ;D
